Writer's Block: Do you check your stars?

Do you believe in astrology? If so, how often do you check your horoscope and how does it impact your life? If not, do you get annoyed when people make assumptions about you based on your sign?
I don't believe in any of that stuff at all, and I won't even look at it for fun (except for fortune cookies, cuz they're yummy!)

Writer's Block: Most memorable concert
high praise

What was the most memorable concert you ever attended? What made it so magical?
I recently took my wife to see Paul McCartney in New York for her birthday. We're both huge Beatles fans, and it was a phenomenal open-air show that we'll never forget. Some highlights include the pyrotechnics in "Live & Let Die", putting my arm around her and holding her when Paul sang "My Love" and, of course, singing the Na Na Na's in "Hey Jude" with the entire stadium.

Writer's Block: Using My PC to Stay Connected

I remember the early 90's when AOL was a novelty. I was one of the first to join, but nobody else I knew was a member. Then AOL blew up and everyone got those disks in the mail all the time - first floppy, then CD. Suddenly, everyone was either on AOL, CompuServe or Prodigy.  Fast-forward 15 years and I hardly know anybody who's not online. I think any way to make family communication easier is a good thing. My only regret is that old-fashioned letter writing via US Mail seems to be on the path to extinction.

Have you ever stopped being friends with someone over differences in political views? Are there any issues that are so important to you that you cannot be friends with someone who holds a contrary opinion?
It's funny - I was just going over this issue in my head a few days ago. After thinking about it, in order to maintain a friendship/favorable opinion of someone holding views and beliefs with which I disagree, I need to separate the person from the person's beliefs. Basically, it means ignore that which conflicts with my own beliefs, because I'm strong enough in my beliefs and values to not be influenced or corrupted by someone else. When I'm in a situation where I'm forced to listen to....let's see......Republicans, Catholics, Mets fans, Sarah Palin lovers....I just basically ignore.
